LAST UPDATE: 1/19/2006 2:16:39 PM
The Ripley County Sheriff's Department and School District officials say around 1,300 students were evacuated Thursday morning from the South Ripley Elementary, Middle School and High School. That's on Benham Road in Versailles, Indiana. The Career Center was also been evacuated, although it is not run by the school district. All students were accounted for and safe. They were taken to a pre-determined safe place. Local 12 has learned that a bomb threat prompted the evacuation. A search of all buildings turned up nothing.
